BBE or BA Economics Hons.
It actually does not matter which type of economics course you do for your graduation. Graduation is just a foundation of any subject and therefore the real thing lies in the post-graduation.
If you would like to really become an economist and work in the economics related department in corporate sector like in banks, financial institutions, mutual funds, etc. then I would suggest considering the latest advanced knowledge, for BBE course instead of BA Economics.
BBE course is relatively a new course as compared to Economics Honours. Business Economics syllabus is a new thing in the education sector and BA Economics syllabus has become little out dated.
BBE may be likely to give you that enhanced focus and vision towards business environment more than the BA Economic course syllabus. BBE is industry specific course and offers study of industry along with macro and micro economics whereas BA Economics Honours focuses on country’s economy rather than economics of industry. The curriculum of BBE course is a combination of management studies and economics and mainly focuses on corporations. BBE clarifies the basic fundamental understanding of economics as a subject it is a lot more mathematical and includes subjects such as econometrics. BBE course is more practical than theoretical.
However both the courses have great scope but Economics Honours being the old course has more popularity and acceptance.
